The number of arrests made by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the border and around the country has significantly increased in the last year.

Hoping to help migrant families stay connected with their loved ones in ICE detention centers, the Freedom for Immigrants movement teamed up with independent radio producer Sylvia Ryerson, NYU Immigrant Rights Clinic immigrant defense fellow Jessica Rofé and anti-detention coordinator at New Sanctuary Coalition Janice Hoseine to collaborate on a project called “Hear Together: Audio Postcards to Immigrant Detention”

Montclair State University’s Television and Digital Media senior, Frankie Perez, sat down with Sylvia Ryerson, Jessica Rofé and Janice Hoseine to discuss the project and current immigration headlines.
