From its inception, one of our goals for the WORBLI network has been to move to a more decentralized model. With our current centralized model, we’ve laid the foundation for a flourishing, self-sufficient ecosystem that will be capable of bringing fairness and inclusion to the financial industry along with enterprise-grade solutions to the blockchain space. In this coming series of articles, we will explore the critical components that will come together to forge our decentralized ecosystem. As a team, we’re continuing to produce ground-breaking protocols and governance models to ensure WORBLI’s success in the future and we look forward to sharing these with you.
Here is a brief overview of the articles that we will publish in the coming weeks.
WORBLI Governance Model (WGM) Overview
Our first discussion revolves around our core values as we see them in action via WORBLI governance. What is the role and responsibilities we see governance taking on for a network like WORBLI? How important is governance to our compliance as a service(CAAS) offering? We will finish with thoughts on why we believe our governance model will work effectively and efficiently to serve WORBLI’s stakeholders.
Our new Block Producer payment model
Recently we elaborated on how resources and Block Producers are managed on the WORBLI network as we introduced “DPOU” (Delegated Proof of Utility). This incredible economic model has been designed to facilitate effective decentralized finance (DeFi) and shift Block Producer’s mentality from that of a paid service provider to an entity that is truly a stakeholder in the ecosystem. Gain insight into our Board of Directors
The WORBLI Foundation will be governed by a Board of Directors, derived from all stakeholders associated with WORBLI. These individuals will eventually be chosen by WORBLI voters or removed via our dispute resolution process if necessary. The Board’s purpose is to keep the Director and all employees of the WORBLI Foundation accountable in their mandate to serve the WORBLI Network’s collective interests.
WORBLI Dispute Resolution (WDR)
In this section, we’ll explore one of the early pieces of the WGM. Dispute resolution is a critical process for businesses and customers. It allows for efficient resolution of grievances which saves everyone involved time and money. Additionally, we’ll talk about our procedures involving customer service and disputes. (Spoiler alert: We won’t be using the WORBLI DR for this!) We believe that an enterprise-grade network requires the best customer service for all stakeholders and we plan to deliver.
WORBLI Governance — In Development
Our final article will offer a glimpse into the additional parts of the Governance model which are in development at this time. We’ll also talk about aspects we feel are needed to complete the first iteration of the model. We’ll offer some insight into our early work on these final pieces and when we expect to finish the initial governance model rollout. We’ll end with our thoughts on the future of WORBLI Governance, our core governance philosophy and what we see coming for blockchain network governance as an industry.
We’re excited to be able to share this with all of you and we look forward to the coming weeks. Building a decentralized network with compliance and enterprise needs in mind has been no easy feat, but we’re extremely proud of what we’ve created as a team. Stay tuned!
