Welcome: Mark Paterson joins WORBLI. An expert in Fintech and Banking.
Our team is really starting to scale up! Over the past couple of months, WORBLI as an organization has been completely optimized into a professional and efficient company, capable of executing on some truly industry-leading products for the distributed ledger space. The expansion of WORBLI can be exemplified by the onboarding of incredible advisors such as Mark Paterson who recently joined the team to provide guidance on all things finance and business development.
Mark is a perfect fit for WORBLI, as he brings many decades of experience from a lifelong career in the financial and technology industries in Australia. He began working in banking during the early 1980’s before moving to Financial Computing Services (FCS) in 1985. His passion for financial technology would then flow into his company that he co-founded in 1988 called The System Works Group (TSWG).
TSWG is a leading provider of financial services software & offers digital banking solutions including product origination, mobile apps & internet banking to a vast array of financial institutions. TSWG has been serving the Australasian market for over 30 years. Their main focus is on small banks, Mutuals and Credit Unions as they provide digital platforms and IT products, services and advisory to improve productivity within these institutions. Mark was able to help grow this company with his extensive knowledge around database hardware, software development, and systems design and analysis.
In recent years Mark has also been dedicating time to helping schools, community groups and small businesses with their IT needs. He’s also a Qualified Justice of the Peace. Now Mark is ready to take on another challenge in his role advising WORBLI — “I’ve been heavily involved in the financial services & information technology industries for the best part of 40 years now, having managed, been in partnerships and also founded companies. The way I see it, WORBLI, is building something that will provide the impetus for a paradigm shift in these industries (or sectors) and indeed many others.”
In his free time, Mark is a keen golfer and has even found a way to help leverage his talent and experience by assisting his club with IT services during his time as a committee member! It seems that no matter what he’s doing, Mark Paterson is always looking to go the extra mile with passion and a genuine love for what he does.
