That said, it’s 2017 and we’re still mucking around with forms? They’re (nearly) as old as the internet itself and users are still subjected to a smorgasbord of solutions — most of which are flawed.

Take for example, Pinterest. Each pin has a Description. The character limit is 500. There’s nothing to tell you how many characters you’ve used. Bad UX. And if you try to save with 501+ characters you get an error, the modal closes and you have to start over. HORRIBLE UX. (Note: This is via the broswer. The app might be different.)

This isn’t rocket science. Or is it?
