For who will then

Play the fool

When all the world

Is full of ghouls

When chaos exhales

Dark, icy breath

Once monuments to heroes

Now testaments of death

When left aside

Dreams and aspiration

Carried instead

Unending frustration

When forever night

And fright abound

Colors wiped away

Black and gray surround

When from the deep

Seep fog and mist

Rising, boiling, roiling

Eerie hiss, evil kiss

When wild winds howl

Shredding the abyss

And humanity falls

A species, eclipsed

For who will now

Play the fool

When lights extinguish

And eternity rules
