So, you want to know, what does depression feel like? Perhaps you are one of those people who think depression is an “attention seeking” condition. Maybe you know people who have experienced depression and wanted to have more understanding of how the condition works, how it feels and why many people struggle to beat it.

Although depression shows up for different reasons for different people, the final result is the same: Depression convinces you your life is worthless, you are worthless, and no-one would miss you if you died; this is depression’s end game. Unfortunately, it succeeds approximately 800,000 times each year.

To explain what depression feels like let me describe not only how depression behaves but also how it makes you feel, what it causes you to think and believe.
