The highly anticipated 2nd edition of the “You Are the Judge” Web3 International Film Festival, hosted by the Web3 OTT platform WTe, has marked a triumphant conclusion to its submission phase as of November 30th. The festival garnered enthusiastic participation, receiving hundreds of exceptional short and feature film submissions from filmmakers worldwide, representing more than 37 countries and regions.
Distinguished contributions poured in from cinematic powerhouses, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, South Korea, Spain, Poland, Kazakhstan, Chile, Argentina, Eritrea, and numerous others.
Celebrating Diversity and Innovation
Set apart by its four prominent tracks -Drama, Horror, Erotic, and Action -the submitted works illuminated a rich spectrum of creativity and styles. Exploring a wide range of globally relevant themes, the content delved into subjects such as AI, crypto and family conflicts, war, crime, LGBTQ+, diseases, and race. These films, distinguished by their unique perspectives and expressions, not only portrayed the multifaceted aspects of contemporary society but also offered glimpses into the creators’ visions of the future, prompting profound reflections on society, technology, and humanity.
Exquisite Selection Process and Festival Details
Following a meticulous selection process, the shortlisted films are scheduled to be showcased during the festival, slated to take place from December 23rd to 25th, 2024, in Beijing. The film lineup and event schedule will be progressively updated on the official website. Audiences will play an integral role by actively participating in real-time voting for their favorite films, contributing to the final determination of award-winners.
Simultaneously, the festival will host the Web3+Film&Entertainment Forum, uniting renowned film directors, producers, Web3 community leaders, investors, and project founders to collectively explore the promising prospects of Web3 economic models and AIGC technology in the film industry.
