I am not one to actively engage with most media including Television, radio & social media above all. However, there are times when I am pulled in to all that is going on and has gone on in the past week. When I came across this picture yesterday; because I decided to tune in after a weekend of tuning out, I was immediately captivated by it. I got pulled into a variety of sources that provided their own unapologetic, charged or bias descriptions of what this photograph meant to “US” their audience. Can I say this description,” Interrogation” by Michael David Murphy is the best way that I have been able to receive it in a way the validated my immediate reaction. It is Art, I am a creative individual. I receive information whether it is harsh, beautiful, hurtful, shameful, and lively whatever the nature in a different way. After an immediate reaction I want to explore it, and find thing inside of it, and analyze it, read the visual narrative. This image as painful as it felt, also felt angelic, surreal and peaceful, beautiful. I want to explore every frame repeatedly looking for more experiences. You have provided really great ones that are plastered on my memory. I’ve added it to my own visual memory bank. I will never stop looking at this picture.
