Waltonchain Affiliate, Citylink, Joins Hands with China Telecom to Promote the Xiamen Smart Community Pilot Project

Waltonchain affiliate, Citylink, has recently signed a strategic partnership with the Xiamen branch of China Telecom.

On February 7th, The Xiamen Hubian Garden Smart Community Pilot Project was officially launched. The first phase of the project primarily incorporates smart street lights and smart dustbins. This is one of the first implementation cases for the close partnership between Waltonchain affiliate Citylink and Xiamen China Telecom within the Smart Community Pilot Project.

As one of the three largest telecommunications enterprises in China, China Telecom possesses advanced network and platform resources and is the first to build an NB-IoT network with the widest coverage in the world. Its partner, Citylink, is very strong in the areas of city intelligentization and informationization through software and hardware products, system solutions and blockchain technology applications. By combining their respective advantages, the two partners will jointly promote the construction of Smart Cities and the implementation of Waltonchain technologies in smart neighborhoods and smart sanitation during Phase 1 of the project.

As experts in city-IoT comprehensive solutions and services, Citylink have developed smart eco-dustbins, a smart street lights control system and other smart public facilities. Combined with Citylink’s blockchain technology, smart eco-dustbins and the street lights control system unite with the advanced NB-IoT communication technology and the corresponding sensing control equipment to achieve real-time, dynamic, multi-index monitoring. Intelligent monitoring data sent to the management system through the NB module is automatically loaded to the Waltonchain blockchain to achieve synchronization of energy intensive monitoring and control, as well as equipment and environmental data, with the smart neighborhood/smart city cloud platform. This enables real-time control over the location of the facilities, working conditions (e.g. bin load, brightness and shade of street lights, etc.), and the formation of efficient and accurate linkage. It also greatly improves the operation efficiency, stability and safety of the facilities, as well as greatly reduces the cost of management and maintenance.

The effect of the deployed equipment system was also highly recognized by the Hubian Garden property management and representatives of Xiamen China Telecom. Xiamen TV station also provided a live broadcast for the event. In the future, Citylink will accelerate the introduction of blockchain technology to commercial IoT applications, and more advanced blockchain-IoT solutions will bring maximum convenience to the city.
