Newly elected Councillor for Bromborough, Port Sunlight and New Ferry who’s been in office less than three months is set to launch a new organisation in New Ferry to help save the local area from further decline.

New Ferry in recent times has been hit with two major blows, the loss of major retailer, The Cooperative and most recently the loss of the last remaining bank in the Town Center.

Despite all the odds, Cllr Warren Ward insists that there is still opportunity for New Ferry to be reformed.

Cllr Ward said: “I understand that some people find it easy to give up but there is still huge opportunities for our town. We need to pull together and remain optimistic.”

In a bid to pull the community together, Cllr Ward in partnership with the Wirral South Constituency Committee is set to create a new organisation called the New Ferry Town Team.

“New Ferry needs a strong and fresh approach. It’s why I came up with the Town Team. It will be an organisation with real bite.”

“The Town Team will act as a platform to create a strong, cohesive and concentrated approach towards taking steps to regenerating not the just town center, but the wider community”

Though it is early days for the new community organisation it has already gathered a lot of support from the community.

Cllr Ward and Shannon Kennedy from Wirral Council are holding a public meeting for residents to have their say on:
