A lot of government and NGOs base their fundraising on scarcity and guilt. While they are working with the poor, the environment, social causes… their mindset gets stuck in promoting how big the problem is rather than finding solutions.
I was fortunate to contribute to a book called Billions Rising back in 2013 ( http://billionsrising.org) the book started out with a focus on showing how 2.7 billion live on under $2 per day, though we quickly found hundreds of examples of people thriving and happy without transfer payment, and some who explained how our idea of feeding the poor was starving them
I see technology as the answer to most of the worlds problems. When we look beyond how cad things could get, focused on the solutions at had, we see technology powering growth, providing free electricity, clean water and unleashing the ideas that will clean up the environment, end the economic shackles of our minds and give abundance to all.
