The middle school years play a crucial role in the success of any math student. During this time, young people develop lasting perceptions of themselves as mathematicians, both in terms of ability and interest.

Interest may be the more crucial of the two since students tend to excel in areas that incite their passion. For that reason, developing engaging lessons is crucial for math educators.

Middle school students learn best with hands-on, creative projects, particularly projects that involve the cooperation of classmates. These activities involve the middle schooler’s natural gravitation toward peers while giving students the opportunity to test and strengthen their mastery of the subject by teaching others.
