Each Night There Is Always a New Story To Be Told
Before my eyes, a dark, crystal clear, starry night
The moon lit up full & bright, cast over any star
Placed in the dark sky like a watchful Father
The vast beauty of creation painted up above
His canvas stretched beyond the naked eye
Blackish, deep navy blue like deep out at sea
With brushed gray streaks stretched out wide
Matching the white crest of a breaking wave.
But the watchful Father keeps them afar at bay
As if protecting His planet & nearby tinkling stars
Down below He casts enough light down upon me
To glimpse the silhouettes of endless tree lines
To catch wildlife scurrying across the darkened fields
The sound of night’s life fiddling all around
An orchestral ambiance soothing to my ears
How is any of that which I see even real?
Even if pinched, it’s majesty beyond imagination
How is this stunning living picture even possible?
You cannot begin to imagine before it came to be
All we know is from our tiny fragment of time.
The Moon watches over Earth while she is at rest
For each day she spends the day with her Sun
Radiating every ounce of her beauty & reflection
A generous gift from our Father to all of His children
Why would anyone squander their parcel of time
On anything other than being loving, giving & kind?
Your canvas must be blank for you are living blind
Any attention paid to meaningless worry & gain
I beg of you to open your ears, eyes, heart & mind
For which I gaze upon is Heaven, with me for all of time.
