Montreal Shank-Rock: It’s a Thing

Cover art for Blue Hands II

On March 24th, self-described Shank-Rockers Blue Hands are releasing their sophomore LP, II. In the meantime, they’ve run a humorously small but successful Kickstarter and released a dirty-as-mud single, A Special Place.

They describe the song as sounding “like plagues and train crashes, overseen by belligerent gods. It’s quite grimy and dark.”
The album is said to sound like a collision of ambience, noise, rock, hardcore and… shanking.

They’re holding a release show for the album at Casa Del Popolo in Montreal on the night of Thursday the 24th. Details here.
