Happy to know you liked Benja.

I haven’t thought about the unzip problem, I’m on GNOME on ArchLinux and its files gives me a “create .zip” option without specifying if 7zip or not.

Maybe I should pay more attention to this important detail and create a zip any computer / OS can unzip after?

A quick unrelated hint: lsblk is the Bash command I use on Arch. If it’s not Debian too it’s better than others.

The class 10 is not only the dd speed, it’s about the whole bootstrap and execution time. Slow HD means slow system.

Since Benja reserves for ArchLinux around 6GB of space, the rest is for your app but if you need a very big app you should remember to resize the fat32 BENJA folder.

Always happy to help through its repository:

P.S. yeah, as others mentioned already, dd on modern bash has status=progress too
