RECIPE: Sandwich Buns

Gluten-free, sugar-free & high-protein!

I don’t know about you, but I’m a breakfast addict. As far as I’m concerned, instead of having “Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner”, it’s more like… “Breakfast, Breakfast & Breakfast”, if possible. With that said… for quite some time I have longed for my dear, sweet Breakfast Sandwich.

I’ve long since realized that you can’t really have a “breakfast sandwich” (or any sandwich) without sandwich buns. Or, I suppose you could….but IT’S JUST NOT THE SAME.

However, the good news? That is now a thing of the past!

Recipe

✴1 tbsp of coconut flour
✴ 1 tbsp of almond flour/meal
✴ 2 Tbsp of golden flax meal
✴ 1/4 tsp baking powder
✴ 1/8 tsp of stevia
✴ 1/8 tsp of salt
✴1 tbsp of oil (coconut oil, butter, etc)
✴ 1 egg

Procedure 👉👉

✴ Combine all dry ingredients and mix well
✴ Add egg and oil — mix well
✴ Add mixture to a glass or ceramic dish (I use a glass one that’s about 5 inches wide in diameter, like THIS). You can grease it before hand but I haven’t found it to be necessary.
✴ Microwave for 1 min. If still wet in the middle, cook for an additional 20–30 seconds.
✴ Remove from dish (cut around the edges with knife if necessary)
✴ Cool in freezer if necessary
✴ Cut in half
✴ Optional: bake in oven at 350° F to dry it up a bit for about 10 min
✴ Add yummy sandwich stuff
✴ Pan-cook with a little BUTTER 🙌 to brown if you WANT.

Note: For those following my uncle’s book, “The Power of Your Metabolism” (By Frank Suarez), all ingredients in this recipe are “S” foods. Just keep in mind that if you are the EXCITED nervous system type to make sure that, in general, you are eating mostly vegetables. Stuff like this is TOTALLY okay to eat as an Excited nervous system type (like me), but if you’re not progressing much with your weight loss, you probably need more veggies!
