Rare collection of Occult books assembled by the Nazis is found in Czechia

A rare collection of books about witches and the occult was assembled by Nazi SS chief Heinrich Himmler during the war has been discovered in the Czechia.

Himmler was completely obsessed with the occult and mysticism, believing the magical books held the key to Aryan supremacy in the world.

The books are part of a huge 13,000 volume collection that was found in a depository of the National Library of Czechia near Prague which hasn’t been accessed since the 1950s.

Norwegian Masonic researcher Bjørn Helge Horrisland told the Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang that some of the books come from the library of the Norwegian order of Freemasons in Oslo, seized during the Nazi occupation of the country.

In 1935 Himmler started the ‘H Sonderkommando’ — H standing for Hexe, the German word for witch to collect as much material as possible on sorcery, the occult and the supernatural.

The collection was called the ‘Witches Library’ and focused on witches and their persecution in medieval Germany.

One of Himmler’s quack bizarre theories was that the Roman Catholic Church was trying to destroy the German race with witch hunts. He also found out that one of his own ancestors was burned as a witch.
