The Best Feature On The iPhone To Make You More Productive

In this day and age everyone is trying to get our attention. Whether it’s a notification, an email, our friends or even our family. All of these are distractions throughout our day that stop us from being productive. A few weeks ago I accidentally pressed the Do Not Disturb button on my iPhone and it’s the best thing I have done in a while.
I receive at least 100 emails a day and just as many messages on WhatsApp, iMessage or Facebook Messenger; not to forget the countless number of apps that are always trying to get my attention. Every time a notifications would come through my Apple Watch would alert me, I would get distracted and check the notification on my watch and would then get back to what I was doing. But the biggest distraction was emails and phone calls. Now, being a software contractor I get a lot of phone calls from recruiters every day about potential contracts. This is great on one hand because it means my skill set is in demand but on the other hand it can get really frustrating because I could be in the middle of a task when my phone rings.
The first thing that I do every day now before I start work is enable Do Not Disturb. It means I can get work done without any distractions and whenever I unlock my phone I can pick up whatever I consider important.
