Not only that but …
- investing in their education and then sending the product of that investment away, where we cannot benefit from it
- sending purchasers of our goods and services and generators of wealth  out of the market
It’s so shortsighted that we all have eyes in the backs of our heads and should, perhaps, become teachers — no, wait … weren’t we just saying our education system was ineffective?
 Unless. of course, what we are implying is that our education system does not produce such and is, therefore, actually worthless.
