Front cover didn’t grab me, no … and if I were in a hurry I might not look any further; or allow my dithering to result in no purchase precisely because I was unimpressed by the front cover.
The back cover sold it to me in the sense that I’d consider buying it, if I found it in a second-hand bookshop, reasonably cheap.
If I were in one bookshop in particular … where they curate their stock exceedingly well … I might be prepared to pay £2.50 to £3.o0 because that’s the place I go to buy books that I would otherwise never read and I always end up going in with the intention of spending £3.00 to £10.00 on three or four books … always end up spending £25.00 on seven or eight books … and have only ever regretted one purchase I made there — so, I invariably end up buying a book or two with a back cover blurb similar to yours.
New?
You’ll need a better front cover.
