Okay, yes, I can see that.

I don’t think your food analogy holds though: it isn’t the VVE if you decide that she’s still the best looking woman in the World, only if it’s because you have no basis for comparison in the first place because you never left the village to begin with and so the ‘still’ never crosses your mind.
