Upgrading to premium grants access to a range of useful plugins, including the ability to upload files and pose related queries directly to the chatbot. Yet, one longstanding limitation has been the inability to fetch online files from cloud storage platforms. However, a recent leak suggests that this may soon change, courtesy of the ChatGPT Context Connector feature.
A user named @legit_rumors shared insights into this feature. It appears that with ChatGPT 4, users will navigate to Settings -> Connected apps to link their Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive Personal, and Business accounts. Subsequently, returning to the chatbot interface and tapping the attach icon will enable the addition of files from these platforms.
This eliminates the cumbersome process of downloading files from online drives and then uploading them to ChatGPT. With the Context Connector feature, users can seamlessly search their cloud drives directly, attaching files with just a few clicks.
Once attached, the chatbot promptly recognizes the files, allowing users to extract specific data by posing queries. This seamless integration with cloud storage is undoubtedly a significant enhancement for ChatGPT.
