Hey, it’s the Arizona Corporation Commission (not corporate commission) and it’s a magnificently corrupt, largely ignored elected position in Arizona. We usually elect people with no experience outside of politics, which leaves the commissioners woefully unequipped to deal with policy having to do with infrastructure, environmental, or consumer concerns. This opens the door to utility lobbyists who have the knowledge that the commissioners lack, enabling the utility companies to essentially control their own regulation.
