An accomplished physician based in Oklahoma City, OK, William D. Jones, MD, has spent more than two decades working in occupational and preventive medicine out of his own private practice. In conjunction with his daily clinical work in Oklahoma City, OK, William D. Jones, MD, belongs to the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM).
Beginning last July, William C. “Bill” Bruce, CAE, MBA, assumed his role as ACOEM’s new executive director. He came to the job having previously served as chief technology officer with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). In his new role with ACOEM, he will leverage his vast executive and leadership experience he gained at AAOS and other organizations to help ACOEM further its mission through strategic planning.
In his comments, ACOEM President Charles M. Yarborough III, MD, MPH, FACOEM, expressed great excitement at Bruce’s appointment to the position. Yarborough lauded the latter’s accomplished background and expressed confidence that he will be able to lead the organization skillfully as it attempts to further the fields of occupational and environmental medicine.
