The Baltimore Humane Society Kids’ Club

Wayne State University graduate William E. Schuiling owns Brown Automotive Group, Ltd., in Fairfax, Virginia. The dealerships under the Brown Automotive Group umbrella offer a range of vehicles, including Honda, Dodge, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Mazda. William E. Schuiling is also a committed philanthropist whose dealerships support numerous nonprofit organizations.

Recently, Brown’s Honda City and Brown’s Toyota of Glen Burnie joined to donate $12,000 to the Baltimore Humane Society (BHS). A no-kill animal shelter, the BHS operates a Kids’ Club that offers children hands-on animal education through interactive activities and games. Club members learn about the needs of pets and develop an understanding of proper pet care and safety.

During the Kids’ Club monthly meetings, children can earn reading credits by reading to animals at the shelter. As club members earn credits, they rise through different awards levels until they finally receive the Super Hero to the Pets award.
