A resident of Southborough, Massachusetts, William Shields serves investors worldwide as an assistant vice president in the Real Estate Group of Manulife Financial. As an acknowledgement of his accomplishments, William Shields was a recipient of Manulife’s Stars of Excellence Award in 2006, 2015 and 2017. An avid photographer, William Shields enjoyed the aerial views from one of Melbourne, Australia’s most popular attractions, the Eureka Skydeck.

The Skydeck is a defining feature of Eureka Tower, completed in 2006 on the south bank of the Yarra River. Topping out at some 975 feet, the skyscraper is the 15th tallest residential building in the world and was named for the historic Eureka Stockade rebellion.

Located on the 88th level, the Skydeck is the Southern Hemisphere’s highest publicly-accessible observation facility. Visitors also experience the hemisphere’s fastest elevator ride, 38 seconds. Then, they can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of famous landmarks, such as the Dandenong Ranges, the Royal Botanical Gardens, Port Philip Bay and the Australian Open Tennis Courts.

For more adventurous souls, the Skydeck also features The Edge, a glass cube that enables occupants to stand over the city, seemingly unsupported. Both are open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Advance ticket prices range from $12 to $23 Australian.
