You should’ve said in the referendum it was a game of top trumps with the conditions of winning changing on whether you won or not. You’re anti-democracy. It doesn’t get any more simple than a straightforward vote and you’re so disrespectful and arrogant of ordinary people’s views that you think you know better. When you ignore democracy it is authoritarianism and when people don’t have the ballot box to express their views they will turn to violence and ever more extreme parties. It’s not just unwise it is outright dangerous to try and derail what was a clear cut and comprehensible referendum question that was met with an incredibly high level of engagement. You will destroy the last vestiges of faith in politics and I will say it again, ignore this referendum and it will end in violence.
