Feeling

Have you ever gotten that feeling? You know what I’m talking about. That feeling you get when you feel like that potential significant other may be the one. The feeling you get when you catch a glimpse of a memory from a deceased family member? Feelings can also be classified as that ‘gut feeling’. Like when you want to go ask out that cute friend you’ve always admired or a good time to start cooking before your parents come home and find out you actually haven’t started cooking yet. It’s the instinct we possess that makes us the way were are.

Feelings can be good or bad. A good feeling can range from being extremely happy and relieved that you’ve finally submitted that assignment to finally seeing and old friend after years of waiting. The bad feeling would result in rethinking which draft you actually submitted to finding out your old friend has no time to meet up. It’s not exactly a bad feeling but you still feel a little empty inside. But hey, let’s forget about the negativity. It’s good to feel good. It sounds simple but it all starts with our mentality of positive actions or showing positive gestures. Sometimes, we’ve got to feel good about ourselves. Then we will feel the positivity flowing. Don’t let the negative feelings bog you down because at the end of the day, you’ll end up as miserable as sin. Don’t let a good day turn out into an entirely crap one. Just because you’ve learnt the due date for an assignment is in 5 days and you’ve done nothing but written the question down, doesn’t mean you have to feel bad about yourself. Yeah sometimes I feel like a worthless piece of shit but you’ve just got to walk the walk. Just do it. If Nike can, you can.

Procrastination may be that one hurdle that can stop you from achieving the goal of finishing but you’ve got to push on. Positive vibes equal good feelings. Once you’ve finished that assignment or finished that case study, you’ll feel that sense of achievement resulting to actually feeling good about yourself. You’ve actually done some work and hey, celebrate with a tub of green tea ice cream (personally, that’s my favourite thing to do). So don’t feel upset if you feel down, there’s always something or someone there who can make you pick up the pace again. If not, try and motivate yourself by doing something different. Doesn’t gave to be indulging on chocolate and ice cream. It can be playing a musical instrument or even workout out and getting the gains! Try and achieve that good feeling and you’ll have positivity running through your veins.

Take time to relax. Reward yourself. Feel good about yourself. Tell yourself, “I’ve got a good feeling about today,” or even, “let’s experience a good feeling today.” Do you have a good feeling about today? Well, I do.
