Years before Youtube came along, I stopped watching television by canceling my cable (where I lived no cable=no reception). The television had been my electronic babysitter growing up. The first few days were difficult. There is no distraction from your thoughts about yourself and other people.

After this passed, many new creative things began happening for me because I needed to fill the uncomfortable quiet.

Social media has made this more difficult these days. When Cabin Fever sets in the outdoors are a great reprieve.

Must say, Youtube, Medium, Twitter, etc. make it harder to kick the Media Habit.

Love your story and how difficult times spawned something new.
