This is a fantastically written piece, and I’m very much looking forward to watching this project grow and unfold. One thing that it seems like you’re struggling with is the purpose of ethnography. Here, you seem to suggest it gives a ‘comprehensive overview,’ but do you think Boyer would agree? How conclusive or not conclusive is ethnography? What does it excel at in terms of relating migration stories, and where might it fall short?
