This is not an adequate argument. At no point did I say that being skinny is in itself a bad thing.

The entire argument of this piece stemmed from the story at top, where it was unavoidable to see that I was sick. Despite seeing how sick I was, some people responded with praise (others with worry). The women surveyed report the same — despite knowing that they were sick, others praised their weight. I point to loved ones and medical professionals in arguments. I never say there is something inherently wrong in being thin. When thinness is praised despite someone’s suffering is the real argument here.

Show me examples of this feminist rhetoric of skinny = bad, please. I can show you an example of a quick-tempered person calling a stranger an “idiot” anonymously in a comment section faster.
