To be free or to be deluded

Do you really have the power or right to act,

To speak, or think as you wish,

Without hindrance or restraint?

Do you believe you have that will?

That you are not in shackles or behind bars,

Doesn’t mean you are free.

Are you not guided by rules and laws?

Or do you really think you are living as you wish

You are either an imprisoned slave

Or a free slave.

Either way, you are not truly free.

Freedom is an illusion.

No man is ever free to do as he pleases,

For man is always guided by rules and/or laws,

If it is not the rules and laws of one’s faith,

It is that of a constitution.

Freedom is slavery; for no man is truly free.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
