I’m an introvert that needs to work in an extroverts world every day. I am a hard core project manager for open plan work spaces. I need to interface with a ton of people every day.

Start doing this where it doesn’t count first. In the supermarket line, with a waiter or waitress, a retail clerk. You get the idea. Now once you have mastered that move the idea along to your established business contacts. Once you have that down move onto your new business contacts.

I’ve done it now for 30 years and have become really good at it. I don’t hate having to go “play the game” nearly as much as I have to.
