I agree with you r piece completely.
I believe that if flat organizations could really and truly function on a management model like Holacracy the tech sector would have embraced it a long, long time ago.
Flat organizations have huge HR issues especially how to hire/fire. THese questions get skirted around when proposed to their makers.
If its not broke don’t fix it. Look, we sell open plan workplaces to small and medium businesses and use a form of agile stand up with everybody in the company every day including the installers.
You are 100% correct — — the “bosses” facilitate collaboration — -that’s what we see.
