Emphasising the (growing) importance of working in teams and necessity of collaboration is true enough. But does that mean that “planning” suddenly becomes obsolete, or rather as the famous quote goes, with my interpretation-additions between []: “A [rigid] Plan is useless, but the [dynamic act of] planning is indispensable”. More importantly, I don’t immediately see how that dynamic act of planning is by necessity contradictory to how people within a team of self-organised or self-orchestrated individuals might behave. One might rather argue that adaptive planning, as a process, is even MORE important in this situation. It really all depends on how you deal with the whole construct of plans and planning.

To be the magic words seem dynamic planning, self-orchestration and adaptive attitude.
