Other options…

Okay, maybe it’s just me but why isn’t her mom looking at other options? I mean we don’t live in the “brick & mortar” education age. If — and it’s a big if — this whole journey is being driven by the child then why not find a way to support her education outside of a traditional classroom setting? From online classes to private tutors the possibilities are so broad that continuing to interrupt her education (and yes, to answer your question it really does) a more flexible option just makes sense. Even from a financially motivated stand point, more hours free to do events/ videos/ postings makes sense. I think about so many gifted young artists and athletes who leave traditional school every year to pursue their crafts without endangering their futures by falling behind academically.
