This malware mainly targets Internet of Things devices, and was primarily active in Asia early in its existence, especially in the country of China. Not only is this malware still active and growing, it is being updated to encompass more potential victims in its scope. According to a blog post by Microsoft researchers, Mozi has evolved to persist on network gateways made by Netgear, Huawei, and ZTE.
