It’s interesting that in a piece designed to discredit someone as a “fraud” you begin with multiple lies of your own:

• “ Not only was Lott’s assertion that more guns leads to more safety formally repudiated by a National Research Council panel”

First off, Lott did not assert that “more guns lead to more safety”. He asserted a causal link between *legal* carrying of firearms and a general reduction in violent crime. Secondly, the report linked to did NOT “repudiate” that assertion, but rather put forth its own estimation that the available data was insufficient to support that conclusion. That is NOT a repudiation of Lott’s conclusion.
