Design criticism and critical design
At first, I know the graphic design, although the design I do not know what it is, but I know the design is not look like this. I started looking for my definition of what design is? Why do I design?
Critical design is not a design, It is a design mode of thinking and expression, can be used in all types of design. Critical design used some of the same thinking and artists, will be designed as a language, not intended to design products to solve the problem, nor is it to design a beautiful new fiber products, but to use design to point out some of the issues, discuss some phenomenon, change people’s views on certain issues, so design works often contain a layer of deeper meaning. Some Discussion on some social issues and phenomena; some narrating a story but not found; or provoke some attention from the controversy that is not. This method of expression in the arts has long existed, but the use of design to express the kind of thinking that this was only a few years designer Anthony Dunne flourish. In the design world, the design of critical thinking is nature of the study, since it is a new way of thinking, it is also filled with a lot of controversy. Such a design process and art like, is often mistaken as a work of art, a lot of people have been identified for the design community with art design in between. In fact,many industries do not know how to move next, critical design gradually become the beginning of many products to think. The traditional design with different modes of thinking, different industries can create more development direction? These problems, many designers (including myself ) also is continually groping.
