Abolish Big Data was first distributed as a pamphlet at my opening speech at the second Data for Black Lives conference on January 11–13, 2019. On March 8th, 2019, I gave the second Abolish Big Data lecture in Irvine, California and the third at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland as part of the 24th working group for the International Decade for People of African Descent, “Data for Racial Justice” on March 27, 2019. The text is an excerpt from my forthcoming book.
