On your quest to sailing Croatia and the Split region, we suggest you take a tour to Čiovo as one of your first stops on exploring the nearby islands.

Čiovo is a small island located off the Adriatic coast in Croatia, in middle Dalmatia, and it is known for its wonderful nature and amazingly clear water.

On the island, there is a number of small villages that radiate the rich Roman history of the place. Most of the island’s tourism is located on the northern side, while the south is pretty uninhabited.

A perfect stop on your island hopping trip.

One of the first things you’ll notice when you arrive will be the untouched nature at the sandy beaches, and the lovely vintage architecture. Before you further explore the island, you can chill over some drinks or a relaxing walk down the seafront.

If you feel like swimming, you can check out the main beach the locals call Kopakabana, or explore other, wilder parts of the island.

On the other hand, if you’re in the mood for shopping or luxurious dining, or even just taking a walk, you should definitely visit the magical old town of the city Trogir, with its many attractions such as historic sites and popular restaurants. It is perfect for exploring narrow streets, taking photos, trying amazing new food, and overall — making memories.

If you’re looking to stay fit even on holiday, the island is full of biking tracks and there are plenty of organised sporty activities. If you love the sea, you can experience the breathtaking underwater life by diving along the coast.

Beautiful crystal-clear beaches of Ciovo.

Love nature? Then you definitely won’t regret taking this trip. With its astonishing vineyards, olive groves, almond trees and pine forests, Čiovo is guaranteed to show you some of the most unique, beautiful and refreshing sights you’ve ever seen.

On top of all that, this island hosts various festivals that are worth checking out, from the squid fishing festival to the concerts and music festivals held in the Tower of st. Marc each summer.

Even though technically the island is connected to land by a bridge, it is the perfect getaway to soak up the sun, have fun and create stories.
