Mali Losinj or “Small Lošinj” is a town located on the South of the island Lošinj, which is one of the biggest islands of the Adriatic.
With just under 9 thousand residents, Mali Losinj is the biggest island settlement on the Adriatic. It is made up of fourteen smaller sections, and its port is very important for nautical tourism.
That being said, there are plenty of things to do here. You can start your visit with a traditional meal at the port restaurants or a walk around the majestic archaeological sights of the town.
The variety of beaches offer fun to all. From the very popular and must see Čikat beach and waterpark, to the quiet ones like pileski beach, away from civilisation. The unique Adriatic flora and fauna make both the land and the sea well worth exploring.
This town has a unique and intriguing story. For example, there is an asteroid named after it: 10145 Mali Losinj. While you’re there, you’ll wanna check out the interesting museums, especially the well known Apoxyomenos museum, with sculptures and fascinating modern architecture.
