We have just released a new version of Zest 🏽 🙌 [Click to add it to your Chrome]
Although we are still in closed beta and most of the product road-map is still ahead of us, I asked a few more professional marketers to give Zest a try. We chose this hyper-agile approach in order to be more flexible and adjust the product on the fly in accordance with the feedback we get from you guys.
This is why I prefer to start off with two slides that will show why Zest was created and where we are heading to. Below these two slides you will find a really short intro of what you can do with Zest.
Zest is a new tab Chrome extension which means that each time you open a new tab, Zest will be there.
The content get on Zest will likely be the best marketing content on the web. Only up to date marketing content with significant added value will be approved. In the next following weeks I will approve only a couple of dozens of articles each day, so please suggest extremely noteworthy pieces. We want Zest to offer marketers top notch and extremely relevant content.
What is ‘Content Flow’ and What Zest is Trying to Solve
Diving into Zest
Left Panel : Marketing Tags
There are 29 tags, sorted from a to z. Now you can:
- See how many articles there are under each tag: See the number next to each tag name? You got it.
- Customize your feed: Click to choose your most relevant tags and our smart feed will automatically rearrange itself accordingly. Your tags are saved so each time you will open a new tab, they’ll be there 💪🏼. If you want to clear your chosen tags - you have a button for that at the top of the Tags panel.
‘Suggest a Link’ CTA
In order to suggest, you’ll have to connect your LinkedIn account. We will soon release the Twitter option as well. Promise!
Your ‘Most Visited Sites’ Bar
About 99% of the pro marketers who alpha tested us said that the new Zest tab extension is overrunning their current one which included the most visited sites. This is why we added your most visited sites into Zest and as a bonus, we included a shortcut to your Google Apps account.
Search Box, Flag and You
Use the search box to look for relevant articles on any marketing subject. Zest is a goldmine of what is best in marketing so use it wisely 🔎
If you spot something wrong, inappropriate or buggy, let us know by clicking on the 🚩
On the top right corner you will be able to see your LinkedIn profile picture, only if you have suggested a piece of content on Zest before.
Feed
The feed is comprised of different Zests, by different people. A Zest can be an article, a new marketing tool or any other piece of content (e.g. Ebooks, charts, whitepapers and so on).
Here are the elements which comprise a Zest:
- A profile image of the one who suggested the link. Hover over it and you will be able to see his/her title and the amount of Zests they suggested so far.
- Article title
- Favicon & site URL.
- The date on which the article was published on Zest’s feed
- Tag/s associated with the article. Once you click on a tag here, the entire feed will be rearranged to show you Zests that are associated with this specific tag.
- Flame that shows amount of social media shares (hover over it and see a breakdown of the shares per social network. I personally, love this breakdown ✌️)
- Social-share icons
We enjoy creating Zest and we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do. You can add Zest to your Chrome browser here.
