Move

Reading Surah Baqarah earlier today and one thing stood out. In places where Allah’s forgiveness was mentioned, it had “accepts repentance” in bracket. I had never noticed that. Or I haven’t been fully aware. The gist is, you have to seek forgiveness. You actually have to ask for it. It won’t fall in your lap.

I think it struck me hard considering how we’re such a generation of victims these days. No one is taking responsibility for the consequences of their actions or inactions, there are fancy words strewn around masking what reality is, and people are hardly able to tell the people in their lives when/ how they are (mis)behaving.

We carry on patting ourselves on the back and making a thousand excuses along the way.

No one will come and change your own situation but yourself. From deep within your heart, and then your head.
One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
