Before you can come to Canada and study, you will need to get an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution. In addition, you will need to have enough money for tuition and your personal living expenses for the duration of your stay/studies.

Next, you will need a letter of support from your family that states they are going to support you financially. You will then also need a letter which states the purpose of your study in Canada.

A study permit will not be required if:
-you are only taking English courses to improve your English skills
or
-the course you are taking is 6 moths or less
