Dear Community,

I write this to officially announce my decision to step down in my capacity as CEO of Bundle Africa as of tomorrow, July 31, 2021. It has been one amazing ride but I believe the time has come for me to take a step back and explore other areas that need more support in the African crypto community beyond traditional buy-and-sell currency trading.

As I reflect on the journey so far, I am in awe of just how much has been accomplished. This chapter in my story really began when I joined Binance in the early days back in 2018. I, like many others, believed that Binance was the best and most aligned ecosystem to grow and scale the crypto adoption in the continent. I ran the Lagos chapter of the Incubation program as a Director of Binance Labs, raising some of today’s leading tech startups in the crypto ecosystem including Xend, Yellowcard, Bitsika and Raise to name a few, which have all gone on to do amazing things.

Amidst the many success stories, my proudest and most fulfilling achievement by far has been founding Bundle, incubated within the Binance ecosystem. In just a little over a year of its launch, Bundle has achieved massive growth and prominence that has far exceeded even my wildest expectations. With over 350,000 Bundlers and as high as $56 Million in monthly transaction volumes, Bundle continues to reach heights that many could only dream of.

All of this could not have been remotely possible without the incredible team of brilliant young minds at Bundle that have worked tirelessly to ensure that no ounce of quality was foregone; To you all, I am eternally grateful. In the same breath, it brings me great peace to know that Bundle remains positioned for greater and greater successes to come as Emmanuel Babalola, the current director of Binance Africa, assumes the role of the interim CEO. Emmanuel is known widely for his tremendous contributions to the blockchain ecosystem and I couldn’t have hoped for a better successor. I am thrilled that he has agreed to take on this role.

So, what is next for me? Well, the mission remains the same; To drive the adoption of digital currency across Africa, with the many economic opportunities that come with it. I truly believe that blockchain technology and crypto are critical players in Africa’s economic transformation and I will continue to gear my efforts towards supporting and growing the nascent crypto community in Africa and other emerging markets. With all the new and interesting developments happening within the space, I am super excited to see where this journey takes me next.

Thank you so much for the support and I look forward to seeing you all in the next chapter.

Yours sincerely,

Yele Bademosi.
