10 Things That Really Makes Me Happy

I stumbled on this 30 Days Writing Challenge, it has different topics for each day, which is good, as it solves a part of my problem — what to write about. At the same time, it also creates a problem — Soul searching. I don’t like tampering with settled water, I’ll rather hover on the surface provided I am aware of what’s in its depth. This is #Day1 of the #30DaysWritingChallenge.

Making People Happy

Making people happy makes me happy. Growing up, one of the things I wanted and still want to end up being is a philanthropist — just that it isn’t a course, I would have studied it. I am the answer to someone’s prayer, same for someone else and the chain continues. Its usually not that simple but anytime I get the opportunity to be a blessing to someone in need, I jump on it. I am just happy when people are happy. Deep down in me, beyond my serious face and rigid routine, there’s a soft spot for people — I believe everyone deserves to be happy, and that is only possible if we make it happen.

Learning

I am not the African you can hide stuff from in a book. No, I am not. I love to learn about anything that picks my interest. I research about it, read books, watch documentaries, go to meetups and seminars till I feel I am saturated. I am excited when I am learning something new, old or even ancient. You can’t fathom the joy and excitement in me when I stumble on a book, a talk show, podcast, TV show… ah! It’s usually amazing!

Money

Money makes me happy, on days when my account is green. And when I am able to spend on what I like when I want. Also when I have enough to plan and execute my ideas and projects.

Love

I love love. Love is a beautiful thing. I think two people having that emotional and spiritual connection which is beyond words is phenomenal. I am not the regular mushy guy, but I love a good love story/event. God’s love elates me — I think it is spectacular and worth emulating.

Family

The bond and connection that occurs in a family are second to none. A family is hard work and it is also fun. I am pro-family and it is always encouraging when I see families out there who still have it together despite their peculiar challenges.

Art

Art is beautiful. God is art. I am art. I consider myself to be an analytical and dynamic thinker. Part of my dynamism resides in art. I love everything about art; paintings, poems, spoken words, stories, music, culture, history. I think art revolves around everything and everything revolves around art.

Technology

Tech is the present and the future. Tech-enabled innovations and disruptions are bae. Some think techies are lazy but nothing can be further from the truth. Technology makes life easier and is here to stay.

Christy Ojo

Intimate relationship aside, her happiness is contagious. Christy is almost always happy even when she is dealing with stuff. She just fronts the happiness. She has her off days though, but it is interesting to know there is someone that can actually make me happy just by being herself.

Worship

In all of the ways one can relate with God, I think I prefer to worship the most. There’s just one thing about worship that is indescribable. It takes one higher and deeper at the same time. I love to worship.

Good roads

Hmmm… I just had to include this. It is not just about the road, but the government as an institution and the country as a nation. A forward moving country where things as little as road, security and others work tickles my fancy.
