Someone who Inspires me?

I stumbled on this 30 Days Writing Challenge, it has different topics for each day, which is good, as it solves a part of my problem — what to write about. At the same time, it also creates a problem — Soul searching. I don’t like tampering with settled water, I’ll rather hover on the surface provided I am aware of what’s in its depth. This is #Day4 of the #30DaysWritingChallenge. You can find the previous ones on my profile here

A lot of people inspire me, especially those in my circle. I have enough inspiration to last me for XX number of years. Whenever I go through my social media feeds, I always see someone I know working on one craft or the other, working on a certification, closing a deal, meeting that celebrity, organizing that conference, even as young as we are (I think we are young). It is amazing and awesome because “show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are”. If you are in my circle, thumbs up, your relentlessness to conquer your field and the world inspires me.

If I were to rewrite this next time, these names might change. But at this moment, Jason 'Igwe' Njoku and Dr. Olumide are the guys who are currently inspiring me as far as Tech and business are concerned. I am working on something as well so I tend to follow them closely.

They are actually showing that it is possible to steer this Nigeria’s internet market and also be successful. Knowing this just gives me hope. Kudos to those who have gone ahead and paved the way. At least, one less thing to worry about.

It is fascinating the way they go about their businesses subtly. They know there is a market for the problem they are solving and they just keep at it even in the midst of the distractions and noise. They are strategic and determined, apart from the money that must be made, they are actually simplifying stuff and making life better. I am moved by Jason’s achievements with Irokotv and Spark.ng. It is one thing to build a tech-enabled business, it is another thing to grow it, make a profit and even build companies that build companies. Jason, if you are reading this, I want to be like you when I grow up.

Olumide Olusanya (D.O) is the team lead at Gloo.ng. His witty posts on Twitter always gets me thinking. I have really learned a lot about the ecosystem and have been exposed to a lot of materials and knowledge just by following his tweets. There was a time I was getting notified everytime Doc tweets, but I have stopped now, I am taking things slow.

I have always been passionate about solving problems with technology. I want to build the future and I won’t hesitate to jump on an opportunity when I see one. As an aspiring certified product manager, problem-solving comes naturally. Cheers to Tech and all the problems we intend to solve with it.

Whew! Tomorrow is #Day5. Is it just me or is September slow?
