I hadn’t tackled poetry for almost a decade but you and the other woman who did Chattanooga Choo Choo sort of inspired me to hit an old 50’s tune also. I think I still have it, though I tended to do original stuff more back then. I have to agree that using songs as a satire base seems to come easier if you just follow the flow and insert your own views like you do. Rather than publish my own I prefer sounding off in your column once in awhile as the mood suits me. Less pressure to perform on a frequent basis and I can keep the quality high when I do so marginally. I also get to see what the master is up to. LOL
