Crash Hazard: Mazda Launches Recall

Mazda has joined other major automakers by launching a recall associated with potentially serious crash risks.

According to a series of news reports, Mazda North American Operations has recently announced a recall that impacts all units of the 2016 CX-3, 2013 and 2014 Mazda2, and 2013 through 215 CX-9 vehicles. These units, the report shows, come with lower mounting nuts and bolts that are used to attach the front strut assembly to the steering knuckle that could suddenly become loose. If that’s the case, the driver will lose control over the vehicle’s steering. This issue could lead to an accident.

Consumers with the recalled vehicles are being urged to avoid ignoring this campaign. If you are aware of the recall campaign and you would like to learn more about the potential risks, contact Mazda directly or more info. Otherwise, wait until Mazda has sent you a notification so you may schedule a visit to a dealer. Once the vehicle is inspected, the dealer will identify the risks and make sure that the parts are replaced and tightened correctly if needed. The repair and inspection should be carried out entirely for free.
